Five-day Summer Fencing School 2026

Date: 10.6. - 14.6. 2026

Place: Sporthotel BK Pod Lipou Pod lipou 15, Vědomice Roudnice nad Labem, CR

Three parallel programs:

  • Ringen – historical wrestling
  • Long Sword / Spada due mani
  • Dussack/Rapier
  • Staff/Halberd/Partizana

We will work with instructions from the manuals of Joachim Meyer, P. H. Mair and selected masters of the Lichtenauer line.

Our ancestors used to call an event like this a fencing general school. We will do so too, because we honor the tradition and art form of our ancestors. At the general school, all the knightly weapons are taught and tests are given. All this awaits us on this date.

The class will be divided into lessons starting with unarmed combat - medieval Ringen combat, dagger combat, fencing with the Dussack, rapier fencing, longsword fencing. Fighting with pole arms.

Guild masters and martial arts instructors from CR and Germany will lead the lessons.

You will need:

  • A long sword
  • a wooden stick about 150cm long
  • A practice dagger (if you don't have one, you can borrow one for 200kč)
  • A wooden Messer ( who does not have a report, it is possible to borrow for 200kč)
  • Rapier
  • Sportswear, gym shoes
  • Personal hygiene items
  • Depending on the type of hilt on the sword, it is possible to have leather gloves

We train in the traditional way according to the rules of the Federfechtier fencing fraternity, so there is no need for masks, nor quilted fencing vests or coats.
